"Landmark Development" gets go ahead
Investland, the London based developers, today announced that its Adelphi Point project has been given the green light by planners. The scheme promises to be an anchor for the regeneration of Edmonton, an area that has yet to experience the growth of other parts of the capital.
Its proximity to Central London and good transport links means that Edmonton has been touted one of the next big locations as London’s commuter belt widens. Adelphi Point, situated on Fore Street in Edmonton, is the most ambitious development of its kind in the area and has been described as a “strong landmark” by local planners. It features a 29.5 metre, nine-storey tower attached to a three storey base – a design that provides a striking visual.
The development will combine 520 square metres of ground level A1 commercial space with 24 private residential apartments. The project incorporates forward thinking designs, detailing, curves and angles to add to the architectural narrative of the area. It provides a new focus of attention for the area that is designed to spark a flourish of sustainable regeneration.
Adelphi Point is the latest in a number of urban regeneration projects undertaken by Investland. Featuring the latest technology in sustainable design the proposed building has been designed in line with the Eco Homes code. Natural ventilation and insulation have been built into the design to cut down on energy demands and solar panels have been incorporated on the roof to provide the building with hot water.
