Investland wraps up deal with film college
Investland has accepted an unconditional offer for the sale of Block A of its award-winning Benyon Wharf development to SAE Institute UK, the world’s largest private college for audio engineering, creative media and digital film training.
With a sale price of £4.7m for 18,000 sq ft of B1 space in shell & core condition, Investland has achieved £260 per sq ft, an exceptional figure for the area.
The distinctive building, in a prime location fronting Hackney’s up & coming Kingsland Road, has been sold on a long leasehold. Block A is part of a mixed use scheme consisting of 53 luxury live/work apartments in a tranquil waterside setting.
SAE’s qualifications have become the global standard for the media industries. The deal will bring new life into the area as students from around the world flock to Hackney to take up SAE’s practical training courses and academic degree level programmes.
