Art Show - Reglan Wharf
Demonstrating its commitment to art and community projects, Investland have given three weeks use of one of their canal-side warehouses to TRAILER, an independent artist-run group, for their latest art exhibition called GODZILLA.
The 1-acre plot at 2-10 Hertford Road in De Beauvoir Town, N1 is an attractive corner site where the Grand Union Canal meets with Kingsland Basin. An application has been submitted to Hackney Council for a mixed-use scheme with an emphasis on live-work, aimed at attracting artists and designers. The extension of the East London line, due to open at nearby Lee Street in 2005 will undoubtedly help further regeneration of the area.
Since 2001, Juan Bolivar and Caroline Brockbank have curated and organized four contemporary art exhibitions in various temporary locations in London, under the banner Trailer, which is a non-profit making organisation whose aim is to act as a moving platform and show the work of emerging artists, as well as that of more established artists, in unusual locations that explore the notion of a gallery space.
